NR3C1

The NR3C1 gene codes for nuclear receptor subfamily 3 group C member 1. This gene is also called GR or the glucocorticoid receptor [R].

NR3C1 turns on other genes that are part of the stress response. It also plays a role in inflammation and cell reproduction [R, R].
