AA is associated with:
- Higher risk for Alzheimer's in a meta-analyses (OR=1.37) (R)
- Higher risk for Depression (OR=1.24) (R)
- Has more white matter in bipolar patients in various brain regions (involving interhemispheric, limbic, and large frontal, parietal, and fronto-occipital connections) (R)
- Does better with SSRIs (AA only, more likely to get into remission from depression) (R).
AG is associated with:
- Higher risk for Alzheimer's in a meta-analyses (OR=1.37) (R)
