Occurs widely in plants, e.g. in apple peel and Hypericum perforatum (St John's wort) Hyperoside is the 3-O-galactoside of quercetin. It is a medicinally active compound that can be isolated from Drosera rotundifolia, from the Stachys plant, from Prunella vulgaris, from Rumex acetosella and from St John's wort. (Wikipedia)
